Freedom Care Warrior Project

Warrior Ranch

Welcome to Freedom Care Warrior's Warrior Ranch! The Warrior Ranch is located in Young County, 5 miles North of Graham, Texas, in the heart of the historical Texas Indian Territory where savage battles occurred from the Elm Creek Raid, the Little Salt Creek Indian Fight to the Warren Wagon Train Massacre. The ranch is 16 acres sitting on the original Butterfield Overland Mail route in the heart of the Texas frontier. Located nearby is Fort Belknap. Fort Belknap is open to the public and was the starting point for the Goodnight-Loving Trail. The Brazos River, called the Rio de los Brazos de Dios by early Spanish explorers (translated as "The River of the Arms of God"), flows all through the area. Lake Graham and Lake Eddleman are only a few minutes away as well as Possum Kingdom Lake.
Many movies and books have been based on the happenings in Young County including John Wayne's "The Searchers", John Wayne's "The Sons of Katie Elder", Alan C. Huffines' novel "Killed by Indians 1871" and "The Black Fox" Trilogy.

For a list of community events and other area info, visit The Graham Chamber of Commerce.

The Warrior Ranch is where we host our veterans and is available to the public by donation. The ranch can room up to 12 people with a great-room for gathering or meeting. We also have a "mess" hall with a full commercial kitchen and serving bar. Plenty of parking space is available for motorhomes and livestock with room for skeet shooting.

100% of proceeds stemming from the ranch will benefit our veterans. Contact us for more information regarding booking, prices, etc.
